General
1. Manuscripts (three copies) and correspondence should be addressed to the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. C. A. Kogbe, Rock View International, cc Italie 2, F-75013 Paris, France (Tel+33145805161 Fax +33145809209: email geoscafr@wanadoo.fr) or any of the Editorial Board members whose addresses appear on the inside front cover.

2. Papers should be original and contain previously unpublished data, interpretations, or syntheses. Review papers will be invited/welcomed.

3. Papers should be in English or French with an abstract in both languages.

4. Papers should be less than 10,000 words equivalent, although in special circumstances longer papers will be considered.

5. Papers will be reviewed by at least two referees.

6. Three copies of the text, tables and captions, typed using double-spacing on good-quality A4 paper should be submitted. At the time of first submission all illustrations should be in the form of three glossy, black-and-white photographic prints at the suggested size for reproduction. Authors should retain an identical copy of their manuscripts.

Text
1. The first text page should contain the title of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s), their institutional address(es), and an informative abstract not exceeding 200 words in both English and French. Please provide 6-8 key words or mots clés. Consult a recent issue for the style to be adopted.

There should be a clear indication of the author to whom proofs and any further correspondence should be sent; otherwise all correspondence will be sent to the first named author at his institutional address. If available, please supply an email address or fax number where you may be contacted.

2. The main text should follow on page 2 and may be sub-divided into primary, secondary and tertiary sections. Primary headings should be in centred capitals, secondary headings in lower-case adjacent to the left-hand margin, tertiary headings bold italics indented and followed by the text. Quarternary headings in italics, flush left. Headings should not be preceded by numerals or letters.

3. Any acknowledgements should follow the main text and be headed Acknowledgements flush left.

4. An alphabetical list of all literature cited in the text should be on a separate sheet and headed REFERENCES. From issue 1 of volume 5 the full name of the journal, book, thesis, map or edited volume will be printed omitting prepositions and conjunctions. This journal should be referred to as Africa Geoscience Review. References in the text should appear as (Wood and Miller, 1997) or "according to Wood and Miller (1997)". If more than two authors are involved, refer in the text to their work as "Mahaney et al. (1997)" or "Mahaney et al., 1997"; in the REFERENCES all authors should be named.
